It is worth thinking about a whether you want socket inside or outside your alcove cupboards????……
The alcove unit above is 1.3m wide and will carry a lot of books so additional uprights give extra support.
Pine is much less prone to shelf sagging than mdf.
On wider shelves or where heavy books will be stored a centre support can be used.
Lighting can be very effective.
